Department of Information Technology

The educational, methodological and scientific work of the department is characterized by the following areas: comprehensive development and use of information technologies in the field of research on the design and use of databases and related applied and theoretical issues, development of applied software systems.

The department trains specialists in the specialty 122 “Computer Science”.

In the process of studying, students acquire knowledge and skills in various fields of science, in particular

  • centralized and distributed databases, work with database servers (InterBase / FireBird, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.)
  • decision support information systems;
  • architecture of information systems (file-server, client-server, Internet technologies);
  • software development (desktop, web, mobile OS).

Graduates of the department have a high qualification level of computer and mathematical training, are specialists in the fields of mathematical modeling and analysis, design and development of information systems and software, are able to solve problems related to data processing and analysis, modeling and forecasting the development of economic and physical systems and processes.
