In 1994 he graduated from the Faculty of History of the I. I. Mechnikov Odesa State University, in 1997 he defended his PhD thesis “Mathematical Methods in the Study of Integral Indicators of Socio-Economic Development (on the Example of Bread Prices Dynamics in the Russian Empire in the Second Half of the XVIII – Early XX Centuries)”. In 2011, he defended his doctoral dissertation on “Modern methods of modeling political processes: theory and practice of application”.

From 1998 to 2016, he worked at the National University “Odesa Law Academy” as a senior lecturer, associate professor and professor of the Department of Social Theories.

Since 2016, he has been working at Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University as a Professor of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

Chairman of the Specialized Academic Council D.11.051.13 of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University.

Member of the Specialized Academic Council K.64.053.09 of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (2017-2019).

Editor-in-Chief of the journals “Bulletin of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University. Political Science Series (Group B) and European political and law discourse (Index Copernicus) (Czech Republic).

Main areas of research:

    • modeling and forecasting of political and social processes;
    • theoretical and applied problems of historical informatics;
    • digital humanities.

Under his scientific supervision, 1 doctoral and 3 master’s theses were defended.

Author of monographs, textbooks and articles. In total, he has published more than 140 scientific and educational works.
