In 2005, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov.

In December 2000, she defended her candidate’s thesis on the specialty 27.00.04 – “Theory and History of Journalism” at the Special Council of the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

From 2019 to the present, she works at the Department of Journalism of Vasyl Stus DonNU as an associate professor and professor.

From 2005 to 2019, she worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department at the Faculty of Journalism, Advertising and Publishing of Odesa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov. 

She is an expert of the National Agency for the Quality of Higher Education of Ukraine, specialty 061 Journalism.

Teaches disciplines: “Journalistic Skills and Profession”, “Practical Course in Modern Political Journalism”, “Journalistic Investigation”, “Theory of Political Communications and Media Analytics”.

Main areas of scientific research:

    • political communication;
    • modern Ukrainian network journalism;
    • digitization of politics;
    • journalistic ethics and professional standards in mass media and new media;
    • computer modeling of political processes.

She is a media analyst and coordinator of the expert group of the Pylyp Orlyk Institute of Democracy (All-Ukrainian monitoring of regional mass media for compliance with professional standards).

Media trainer (conducted more than 50 media literacy trainings organized by the Pylyp Orlyk Institute of Democracy, and Odesa Regional Organization of “Committee of Voters of Ukraine”).

Collaborated with all-Ukrainian media “Detector Media”, “Medialab”, “Opinion”, “Den’ (The Day)”, as well as with Odesa regional mass media (“Izbirkom”, “Dumskaya”, “Sailor of Ukraine”). She worked as a content manager of the website of the NGO “Zelenyi Lyst” (Odesa). Author of 1 monograph, 4 textbooks (3 of them co-authored), about 80 scientific papers, and 60 popular scientific publications (media criticism).
