In 2010, Kostiantyn Rodyhin completed his Master’s degree at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Donetsk National University and entered the postgraduate course at the Department of Philosophy of the same university, which he graduated in 2013.

In 2016, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Philosophical Sciences with the specialty 09.00.03 (social philosophy and philosophy of history) on the topic “The phenomenon of Western alchemy in the social philosophical dimension”.

Since 2017, he has been working as a senior lecturer and associate professor of the Department of Journalism of Vasyl Stus DonNU.

From September 1, 2023 Kostiantyn Rodyhin is an acting Head of the Department of Journalism and Social Communications.

Teaches the courses: “History of Media”, “Social Philosophy (Media and Communications)”, “Production (Techniques and Technologies of Content Production and Promotion)”, “Journalistic Skills and Profession”, “Techniques and Technology of Photography”.

Main areas of scientific research:

    • visual content of the media in the information and semantic war: history, typology, technology and identification of photo manipulations and photo fakes;
    • media history;
    • history and theory of photography;
    • the philosophical dimension of the phenomenon of Western alchemy.

Kostiantyn Rodyhin is a participant of international educational projects, such as:

Joint project of the Department of Journalism of the Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia, Ukraine) and the Institute of Journalism and Public Communications of the University of Wroclaw (Republic of Poland) “Polish-Ukrainian Academy of Reportage” (Lviv–Wroclaw, September-October 2017);

Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange “(ME)dia and (YOU)th. Let’s build the tr(US)t. Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange based on the development of critical thinking among young journalists” (Warsaw, Republic of Poland, October 2018);

International projects of the Association for International Affairs (AMO) (Czech Republic) “Possibilities and prospects of regional fact-checking” (2018, 2019) and “Using data in the fight against manipulation and disinformation” (2020);

Journalism Teachers Academy – Curriculum for journalism teachers of Ukrainian universities “Modern methods and tools in teaching journalism” (Deutsche Welle Akademie, 2020).

He is a member of the editorial board of the “Nomen” University almanac (5 issues from 2019 to 2023). Worked as a photo correspondent of the University newspaper “University News” (2015-2016). Organizer of photo exhibitions at the University. The author of personal photo exhibitions in the city of Vinnytsia. Member of the Vinnytsia People’s Photo Club “Obriy” since 2015. Winner of the “LifePressPhoto 2020” international photo contest (diploma from the National Union of Photographic Artists of Ukraine). Co-author of the popular science book “Hryhorii Skovoroda’s Alchemy”. The author of a textbook, 1 artistic translation, and about 90 scientific works.
